Bioplasma is a cordless device powered by plasma energy (ionised atmospheric gas, the fourth state of matter) that needs no mains connection. As it ionises the gases in the air, it produces a fine arc directed at the target tissue.
The tip of the device creates a high-temperature electrical arc. When held at a set distance from the skin, this arc ionises the atmospheric gases and releases plasma energy, which sublimates keratinocytes in the outermost layer of the skin, turning the tissue directly from solid to gas.
As the treated tissue sublimates, unwanted heat is prevented from reaching surrounding tissue and the fat layer beneath the skin. The plasma energy stays within the tiny area the device targets and acts at a very superficial depth, making the procedure safe.
